Jokowi’s actions in Asian Games Opening Ceremony 2018

Asian Games 2018 which is held in Jakarta and Palembang has passed. Every series of events are packed perfectly which left everyone with good and unforgettable impressions. The opening ceremony is one of the series which gives people their own different impressions. At the opening ceremony, it played a video of Joko Widodo, the president, rides a motorcycle from Istana Bogor to Gelora Bung Karno which also went viral. It also got a pro and contra responses from the people not only from Indonesia but also from overseas. 

Jokowi’s action also made a lot of people amazed. It deserves all the applause. Not only the idea of the events, but also the message and the meaning behind it. Jokowi’s action portray the traffic jam, the different culture and the message about world peace. The message is packed beautifully which could be  seen from its interesting actions. Anggun C Sasmi, an indonesia singer, tweeted, “the intro of the asian games opening ceremony is so cool, Mr. Jokowi, I also ride motorcycle everywhere.”

Beside that, jokkowis action also received contra responses from a lot of people. A lot of people said that the message behind the motorcycle riding  action isn’t clear enough. They think this action is only for entertainment purposes. Also, they only want to show something new and different from others.

But, there is also a lot of people who likes Jokowi’s action without caring about the meaning and message behind it. They questioned about who the stuntman is more. They care about how the video was made more that its meaning and messages. 

The secretary general of PDIP, Hasto Kristiyanto, asked to see Jokowi’s action from the comprehensive side. This opening ceremony isn’t only for entertainment purposes but also the message that is delivered to us. Eventhough it has passed, we should still be proud that it went perfectly.
